KILIMANJARO ROUTES

Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest Peak! There is nothing quite like it anywhere else on Earth; the World’s tallest freestanding mountain and the only place on land where you can experience the warmth of the sun rising over Africa and touch the Sky. It’s a currently inactive volcanic mountain at 5895m, 19,341feet above sea level, on the Northern part of Tanzania near the border with Kenya. The mountain is truly be regarded as the roof of Africa as wide as all the world, great, high and unbelievably white, “was Ernest Hemingway’s description. Now World Heritage site, its outstanding features are its three major volcanic peaks, Shira (3962m) in the west, Mawenzi (5149m) in the East and the snowcapped Kibo (5895m) in the centre. The forests of the surrounding national park are inhabited by elusive elephant, buffalo, and bushbuck, monkey and forest birds. The mountain can be seen very close from Amboseli national park in Kenya.

You can summit on Mount Kilimanjaro through different routes depending on your duration, interest and budget as well. The routes up are Marangu, Machame, Rongai, Lemosho Glades, Londorosi, Umbwe, Northern Circuit and Mweka route for descending only.
